Kristen Deppe
Owner, Director & Teacher
Kristen is passionate about sharing the joy and artistry of dance with the families of the Anthem community. With more than 25 years of teaching experience, she has instructed dancers of all ages and abilities in ballet, pointe, creative movement, jazz, modern, contemporary, and variations throughout the Chicago and Denver areas.
Kristen began her dance training in the Chicago suburbs and continued her studies through prestigious pre-professional ballet programs. She has performed and trained with nationally recognized artists and brings extensive experience in ballet, jazz, and modern dance to her teaching.
Her classical ballet training includes the Balanchine, RAD, Cecchetti, and Vaganova methods. In 2006, she earned her Teaching Certificate from the Cecchetti Council of America. Her jazz and modern training includes the Fosse, Luigi, Giordano, Horton, Graham, and Limón techniques, giving her students a well-rounded dance education rooted in both technical excellence and artistic expression. Kristen also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Iowa.
In 2016, Kristen founded Anthem Highlands Youth Ballet with the vision of bringing exceptional dance education to the community she calls home. Her goal has always been to provide children with professional instruction in a welcoming, recreational environment where every dancer feels encouraged to grow. She believes dance is about more than learning steps—it's about building confidence, encouraging creativity, developing discipline, and creating lifelong friendships.
In 2026, Anthem Highlands Youth Ballet proudly celebrates 10 years of inspiring young dancers in Anthem. What began as a neighborhood ballet program has grown into a thriving community where hundreds of children have discovered a love of dance while receiving high-quality instruction in ballet, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, and creative movement.
Kristen and her husband, Todd, have been proud Anthem residents since 2012 and are raising their two active boys in the community they love. Whether cheering from the sidelines at sporting events, volunteering at Thunder Vista P-8, serving on HOA committees, or enjoying Colorado's beautiful outdoors, Kristen is grateful for the opportunity to give back through dance and is honored to share her passion with the next generation of dancers.
